Hello everyone! I am excited to participate in another year of the Get Cracking on Christmas series and wicked excited to work on my stash of holiday cards throughout the year! I will continue to create holiday cards with NO STRESS, using stamps and supplies I haven’t had a chance to play with yet and experimenting with different techniques.

Get Cracking: A Snowy Scene
We got to play with some Purple Onion/Stacy Yacula stamps during my Creative Journey Art Retreat that took place this last weekend. I always love how excited everyone gets over the adorable images. Purple Onion has a new release of fabulous images, so I thought I would create with some of them for this month’s Get Cracking on Christmas.
I started by stamping the images with Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink. I colored in the scene with Copic markers. I am sharing the swatches of the colors I used for the card below so you can easily recreate it with the coloring medium you choose. If you would like to learn more about coloring with Copic markers or alcohol-based markers, be sure tocheck out my Copic 101 online class, which includes a workbook!
I then masked the images. I find cutting out masks easy with spring action scissors, and a finger tip x-acto knife. I ink blended with some Pinkfresh Studio Inks. I then die cut out the panel with the largest outside in stitched rectangle from Lawn Fawn. I then sprinkled someWow Embossing Opaque White Ultra High embossing powder.across the whole scene. I melted the stitched rectangle from behind, leaving behind some “snow”.
I added a sentiment, stamping on a stitched sentiment banner. I also added some snow on the ground by using Distress Collage Medium and Distress Mica Flakes.
This is a cute little scene that came together easily. I can’t wait to share some tips and tricks with you during my YouTube LIVE.
